 Joanna Paterson is another new and absurdly talented photographer whose work Jacq at Black Dog showed me the other day.  I love this series exploring children's dreams and nightmares.  She has also done the most beautiful series of still life objects in watery dank basements.

Chignons

First post in a while... it's been a busy time lately.  I resolve to do this much more frequently....  Met up with Audrey from Total over from Paris today and amongst other gems, she showed me the latest artist to join their roster, Zoe Ghertner.  She's a young photographer but so accomplished.  Her still life work is reminiscent of Man Ray whilst I just love this story of hair knots she did with fab hairdresser Peter Gray for the new Gentlewoman magazine in the summer.... http://www.zoeghertner.com

Frank Laws makes the banal beautiful.  His paintings celebrate the care and workmanship that went into these 1950's social housing blocks in London borne out of his experience as a bricklayer's mate.
