It's Christmas!!

Olivia Fremineau's take on Christmas decorations is wonderfully bonkers and cheers me up in the last few working days left of the year...  so this is for all of you who aren't on holiday yet!  See more of her work here: http://www.oliviafremineau.com

QR Code

Received this through the post - still get the odd delightful thing thanks to snail mail! - which I thought intriguing as there was no mention of who why what. Loved the way a QR code has been created by using physical objects.  And it works too!  David Sykes is the photographer responsible and explains his thinking (also see more of his work) here: http://blog.davidsykes.com/qr-riddle/694

Let there be light

Jimmy Mould sent us a print of the cross so wanted to share it here with a few others.   He makes the ugly and overlooked features of our urban landscape beautiful, suffused with gentle and ethereal light.  I like.   See more here: http://www.jimmymould.com/inorganic.aspx

City Suits

Frank Allais's witty double-take series makes light of the financial crisis currently building in the city ...  The casting and wardrobe are pure genius.  Makes you wonder what skirt and shoes your Dad might select for the office... Virtual lives

Here's a very British version of people living out their hyper real other lives as characters in Star Wars or other science fiction movies.  The photographer, Steve Schofield, is intrigued by how his sitters' choice of hobby helps them escape the banality of everyday life.  The juxtaposition of the subject in full costume in their ordinary homes is both telling and fascinating.  See more on Steve's site: http://www.steveschofield.co.uk/#!__land-of-the-free
